Our School Council
The Crawford County
High School Council has been established as director under state
law in H. B. 1187 - The A+ Reform Act of 2000. Goals of the school
council are, but not limited to, the following:
~Improve academic
achievement~
~Solve difficult Education problems~
~Share ideas for school improvement~
The creation of school councils has been set
significantly impact the improvement of student achievement.
The role of the council is to provide "advice,
recommendations, assistance, and represent the community o9f
parents and businesses." School councils have the opportunity
to influence not only the instructional process in the school, but
also the perceptions of and support for public education in the
community. As the law states, the intent "is to bring
communities and schools together in a spirit of cooperation,...and
bring parents into the school councils that understand their
advisory role and work together to focus time and effort on
improving student learning in the school" MeetingMeetings
are announced in the GA post newspaper two(2) weeks prior to the
actual meeting date. Guests which would like to speak during an
official school council meeting, MUST call ahead to be placed on
the agenda. This may be done by contacting the principal of CCHS.
Speakers other than those invited to make special presentations,
MUST keep their comments within a 10 minute time frame.

in the front office of CCHS for public viewing.
