Substitute Bus Drivers

Posting Date: January 26, 2006

Closing Date: Until Positions are Filled

Reports To: Transportation Director

School Location: Crawford County BOE Transportation Department

Qualifications:

1) Must be at least 22 years of age..

2) Must pass a physical examination by a licensed doctor of medicine, or doctor of osteopathy, within 60 days prior to the date

of employment.

3) Must hold a Georgia CDL (Commercial Driver's License), Class A, B, or C, with an "SP" endorsement, or complete training

and testing

 to obtain the required license.

4) New drivers must satisfactorily complete a training program approved by the Department of Education.

5) Must be able to relate to all levels of students.

6) Must be able to manage students in a firm, fair, consistent manner.

7) Must be able to effectively communicate with parents.

8) Must be available on an on-call basis.

Salary/Terms/Benefits:

1) Salary Range - $15.00 per route (morning or afternoon) - $30.00 per day (morning and afternoon).

2) Benefits are not provided for part time employees.

3) This is an on-call position for 180 days of each school year.

2) Complete Motor Vehicle Report to obtain driving record.

3) Applicants not already employed by the school system, must agree to have a background check conducted through the

FBI/GBI Criminal Network to include fingerprinting at the cost of $24.00. The applicant will be responsible for the $24.00

processing fee charged by the GBI/FBI.

Mathematics (9-12) Teacher

Vacancy for 2006 - 2007 School Year

Reports To: Principal

School Location: Crawford County High School

Qualifications:

1) Must hold, or be eligible for a valid Teaching Certificate in the area of Mathematics (9 – 12)

2) Must have knowledge and skills in advanced mathematics courses: Trigonometry, Calculus, and Algebra

3) Prior experience working with students at the high school level.

4) Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

5) General computer proficiency.

6) Ability to communicate well, written and oral, with students, parents, and administrators.

7) Successful classroom teaching in the area of English (6-12).

Salary/Terms/Benefits:

1) This is a 10 month position.

2) Salary Range - Based on years of experience and the teacher salary schedule.
